There are two copies of each photo. Each one has been taken from a slightly different angle to the other, to simulate the difference each eye would see, when you look at an object in real life.

By crossing your eyes, and attempting to merge the two separate images into one single image, your brain is tricked into thinking that it's looking at a real object, with depth!

It is a little disorientating for some people initially, but it really isn't that hard. Try moving your head further away from the screen if you find it hard to cross your eyes very far.

You should see (once cross-eyed) one 3D looking image in the center, and a faded ghost image to either side of it.

Click here to see the topic from first page, which includes instructions how to see the 3D projection (as if you can't just click over there to go the 1st page)
Shame I can't pull it off though D=, my eyes lose focus as soon as I try crossing them

It takes a little while to get used to it, but the effects on some of them are amazing (smiley)

The Wipeout HD screenshots further down the page look quite good as well

I probably should have explained it when I posted it, instead of just pasting the link, but my Internet connection was starting to die

Try moving your head further from the screen. It's easier to cross your eyes when it's further away at first.
